Domingo
hints at a quick run tomorrow morning
Mominul Haque and Nazmul Hossain's centuries at the end of
the second day of the Test in Pallekele Bangladesh team scored 464 runs for 4
wickets. The game ended an hour earlier due to a lack of light. If the game was
not over, Bangladesh could have scored 500 runs today.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das, the two unbeaten batsmen,
will keep an eye on this tomorrow morning. Today, however, Tigers coach Russell
Domingo said the Bangladesh team wants to bat at least the first session tomorrow.
"We need to run fast tomorrow morning," Domingo
told a news conference after the game. We want to run around 520 and send them
to bat to put pressure.
Domingo said the wicket is behaving very well. However,
wounds are being made on both ends of the wicket. Hopefully, it will bring
spinners into the match. And batting after a big run is always stressful. Their
batsmen will be tired, the pressure of runs will be there, one or two good
spells of the bowlers, one or two of their mistakes will give us a good chance. Mushfiqur
Rahim (43) and Liton Das (25) will start the third day's play.
Muminul
went back but the Tigers were on the right trackCricket.
The Sri Lankan bowlers were able to break the Mominul-Shanta
pair by burning a lot of wood. Lahiru Kumara bowled and bowled Nazmul Hossain
first. Mominul was then dismissed by Dhananjaya de Silver off Lahiru
Thirimanne. Muminul's 127-run innings along with Shantar's 183-run innings gave
Bangladesh a solid foundation.
Muminul played 304 balls for the innings of 128 runs. He
made 11 fours in the innings. After the return of the captain, Liton Das has
tied the knot with Mushfiqur Rahim. At the time of writing, the Tigers were 483
for four.
Muminul and Shant finished the day in an unbroken 150-run
stand on Wednesday. The pair stopped at 242 in the second session on Thursday.
Nazmul caught Lahiru Kumara with his hand. He had 16 boundaries and 1 six in
his 183-run innings.
On the other hand, Muminul had the reputation of turning
fifty into a century. He played 224 balls to make his 11th Test century.
However, the first century outside the country was very adorable for the
captain. Experience of collapsing in Tests since taking over the captaincy. Now
the work of writing a different history has begun?
